Lawrence D. Finney is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has received the AV Rating, which is the highest rating, from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been recognized by his peers as a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer”. He is a personal injury trial lawyer who concentrates his practice in the area of medical malpractice litigation.
Larry received a B.A. degree from Penn State University. He graduated from Temple University School of Law. He attended Trial Lawyers College. He is a member of The American Association of Justice; Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association; and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He served in the past on the Board of Directors for the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
During his career, Larry has obtained many substantial verdicts and settlements. A Wyoming County jury awarded Larry’s client $5,300,000.00 for the death of her husband. The jury found the healthcare provider failed to prescribe a statin to reduce the risk of heart attack, which the young man ultimately suffered. This is believed to be the largest verdict of its kind in Wyoming County. The verdict was reported by the Legal Intelligencer as one of the largest verdicts of the year.
A Bucks County jury awarded $3,000,000.00 to his client, a widow, whose 68-year-old husband died as a result of a doctor’s delayed diagnosis of prostate cancer. At the time, this verdict was the largest ever for a medical malpractice case in Bucks County.
Through his appellate advocacy Larry has successfully argued cases in the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
